2. When Third-Party Services May Process Data

Some features use trusted third-party services. These services may collect or process data as needed to provide their functionality. Please review their privacy policies for details:

  • OpenRouter powers some AI features (like generating lessons, quizzes, or summaries). If you use these, the relevant text may be sent to OpenRouter for processing.
  • Supabase is used for optional cloud backup and syncing. If you enable these features, your data is securely transmitted and stored by Supabase.

If you do not use these features, your data stays on your device.

3. On-Device Processing & Privacy

  • Audio transcription and processing happen directly on your device using Whisper technology.
  • Your audio recordings never leave your device for transcription unless you choose to back them up to the cloud.
  • We do not access, collect, or store your recordings or content unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.

4. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & Update: You can access and update your information through the App settings.
  • Export: Export your data in common formats using the App's export feature.
  • Delete: Delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App settings.
  • Cloud Backup: You can enable or disable cloud backup whenever you like.
  • Analytics: You can opt out of analytics collection in the App preferences (if analytics are used).

5. Children's Privacy

Record & Learn is accessible to users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect more personal information than necessary from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at support@recordthenlearn.com so we can address your concerns and delete any such information if needed.
